The ₹50 banknote of the Mahatma Gandhi Series is 135×66 mm, colored fluorescent blue, with the obverse side featuring a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi with a signature of the governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
It has a Braille feature to assist the visually challenged in identifying the notes.
The reverse side features an image of Sansad Bhawan (Parliament House), the meeting place of the Parliament of India.
