This one anna coin is one of the first coins of independent India. Even after India’s independence, coins bearing the images of British rulers continued to be issued for three years. On 15 August 1950, the Government of India replaced them with Indian monuments.
Now on the main part of these coins you will see the picture of Ashoka Pillar and on the other part of the coin. On the other side of the coin you will see a picture of a bull which represents the ancient civilization of India.
